Privacy Protection Policy for Confidentiality
of Social Security Numbers

Konowitz, Kahn & Company P.C. (herein referred to as “we” and “our firm”) is dedicated to protecting the
confidentiality and privacy of personal information, including, but not limited to, social security numbers
entrusted to us. This policy sets forth our commitment to the appropriate protection and use of social security
numbers specifically.
Printed and Electronic Information
Konowitz, Kahn & Company P.C. does not disclose or share this personal information with any party except as
necessary for our legitimate professional and business needs, and/or as required or permitted by law or
professional standards. In conjunction with ongoing monitoring of the integrity of our computer systems, we
follow industry standard security practices and firewall protection.
Access to personal information that is stored electronically is limited to authorized persons and passwordprotected
internally. Printed documents containing such personal information are stored in restricted access areas
with access limited only to authorized persons. Such printed documents designated for disposal are placed in
locked containers and destroyed by shredding.
All employees of our firm are required to sign an agreement of confidentiality, which outlines their obligations
and responsibilities, including those related to handling of personal information.
Changes to this policy
Konowitz, Kahn & Company P.C. reserves the right to modify this policy at any time to reflect our current
privacy practices and/or as required by law.
